Sunday 20th February, 11am – 4pm
Many people are keen to direct a play but maybe unsure of where to start and what a director’s job actually entails! Or you may want to meet with like minded folk to develop your knowledge and practice.
The aim of this workshop is address all the questions any aspiring director may have, from choosing a play through to the opening night, helping you to “tell the story” and move from page to stage.
The workshop will be facilitated by ANDREW HODGSON M.A. a local theatre director with 40 years experience Andrew has directed over 100 productions of all types including plays, pantomimes and musicals – from Shakespeare to Sondheim! He is also a longstanding adjudicator for North Essex Theatre Guild.
The workshop will be practical, and places are limited. We are looking for people who are not only new to directing, but those who may want to refresh their skills, or relish the opportunity to work with others to share ideas and experience.
The aim of the session is to be informative and helpful but also for everyone to have fun and make some theatre together!
