About the directors
Kerry King studied drama and psychology and has three degrees, one of which is an MA in contemporary theatre. She was a semi-professional singer in a dance band for many years and county training officer and regional training officer of volunteers for two charities. Until recently she lectured with the Open University.
Although she has been involved in all aspects of the theatre, Kerry’s first love is directing. Plays she has directed have included, ‘Girls Night Out’, ‘One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest’,‘ My Fair Lady’ and ‘Die Fledermus’, all of which won the North East Essex Theatre Guild’s ‘Best Production’. ‘Neville’s Island’ and ‘Snow White’ were the last productions she directed at the Headgate Theatre and ‘Oh What a Lovely War’ and ‘Oliver’ at the Manifest Theatre.
Witchfinder was Kerry’s first experience at film-making and she loved every minute of the process. Who knows what the future may hold in terms of making films?
