Fund raising

A number of local drama groups have raised funds for us either by donating the profits of specific productions or by staging special events e.g. Colchester Theatre Group, KATS, the Colchester Operatic Society and The Priory Players.

In addition we have raised a considerable sum ourselves through a variety of events. We have held Auctions and Sales, Casino Evenings and many music and drama events. The support of local groups continues to be superb.

We have received financial support from local charities, local businesses, and generous individuals. We arranged for the seating to be bought for the theatre at a cost of £40 each and a plaque on the seat indicates the donor. In 2000-2001 we were one of the Mayor of Colchester's chosen charities and benefited to the tune of £2,500 from this.
