Five local singers and pianist Martyn Heald return to the Headgate Theatre following successful and sold out performances at several Essex venues during 2007. Attired in period costume, they will entertain you with arias, duets and ensembles from many of the best-loved operas of the past 250 years. Highlights from The Magic Flute, Carmen, Merrie England and The Gondoliers are among the musical treats in store.

This will prove to be a truly delightful evening.

This is the debut collaboration of trio; Andy Brush (Saxes and EWI), Phil Leader (Keyboards) and Mark Simpson (drums). Their music is an eclectic mix of Acoustic & Organ Jazz, mixed with funky beats and smooth Jazz sounds. Their repertoire ranges from funky arrangements of Beatles tunes to Jazz standards to more modern funk and fusion compositions, but all done in their own way.

Drama Workshop for 8 to 16 yr olds

Polka Dot Arts for the Headgate Theatre


This five day workshop will give participants the unique opportunity to work on a production inspired by either 'Hairspray' or 'We Will Rock You'. With wonderful songs, great dance routines and action-packed stories, this intensive and fun workshop will culminate in free performances for an invited audience on the last day. Places are limited so book early to avoid disappointment.
